If your car's sitting in an office car park or apartment basement during the day, that's a perfectly good place to detail it. We just need access and a tap and power point nearby.
A few things stack up. Salt drifts in off Trinity Inlet and settles on the paint. Sitting in full tropical sun all day accelerates UV fade. And city driving puts brake dust and pollution on the surface that a normal wash won't shift — you need a proper clay decontamination to actually get it off. None of it's a crisis, but it builds up if you leave it.
Depends on the car and what it needs — every one's a bit different, so we'd rather give you a real number than a guess. As a rough guide, an exterior detail starts from $325, an interior from $275, and a full detail from $599. Ceramic coating starts from $1,000 on a new or well-maintained car. Give us a quick call and we'll sort an exact price.
Honestly, it depends. If you're parking outside in the Cairns sun every day, ceramic makes a real difference — UV protection, salt resistance, and the paint stays cleaner longer. But if the paint's already got noticeable swirls or etching, that wants correcting first before we coat it. Coating over damage just locks it in. We'll have a look and tell you straight what makes sense.
That's actually one of the more practical ways to do it. You head into work, we come to the car park, do the detail while you're at your desk, and it's done by the time you finish up. We do need access to the car park, plus a tap and power point somewhere nearby — just check with building management beforehand. If that's not possible, dropping it to the Trinity Beach shop is the other option.
