It's the salt, mostly. Trinity Beach gets a steady sea breeze and that salt settles on your paint whether you're on the beachfront or a few streets back. Add the tree sap off the carports and the wet-season humidity, and a car out here just needs a bit more looking after than one inland. Nothing dramatic — just regular, sensible upkeep.
Depends on the car and what it needs — every one's a bit different, so we'd rather give you a real number than a guess. As a rough guide, an exterior detail starts at $325, interiors from $275, and ceramic coating from $1,000. Give us a quick call and we'll sort an exact price.
Not always, and I'll be straight with you. If you're selling soon, a pre-sale detail makes more sense than coating it. If the paint's got swirls or etching you can feel, that wants correcting first — coating over damage just locks it in. But for a car you're keeping, on the coast, ceramic is genuinely worth it. We'll tell you either way.
