We come down to Edmonton regularly — it's well within our mobile run. The shop's at Trinity Beach, which is a fair way north toward the coast, but we don't charge a travel surcharge to the southern suburbs. Book a mobile job and we'll come to your place, or you're welcome to drop the car up to us if that's easier.
Mostly the dust. Edmonton is still a big growth area — new estates going up, earthworks around the edges, cane country nearby — and that fine construction and cane dust settles on your paint constantly. It's more abrasive than it looks and a regular rinse doesn't really shift it. Add the tropical humidity and a daily commute north, and the car wears a fair bit faster than one that just sits in a garage.
Every car's a bit different, so we'd rather give you a real number after a quick look than throw out a guess. As a rough guide — an exterior detail starts from $325, an interior from $275, or a full detail from $599 if you want the lot done at once. Not necessarily, and I'll be honest with you. If it's a car you're planning to keep for a few years, Edmonton's dust and UV are a genuine argument for coating new paint early — the factory clear coat gets a bit of help and you're not trying to correct damage later. But if you're leasing it, or likely to sell in the next year or two, a ceramic's probably more than you need. I'd rather tell you that upfront than have you spend money that doesn't make sense for your situation.
